The 2026 evaluation centered on the measure insurers respect most: what happens when a firm actually stands in front of a jury. The review covered the ten-year period from January 2016 through June 2026, during which Percy Martinez Medical Malpractice Lawyers reviewed 24 Texas personal injury firms using public court records, published verdict reports, county docket searches, State Bar of Texas licensure records, and verified client reviews.

J. Alexander Law Firm’s record decided the selection. The firm successfully resolved more than 500 cases between 2016 and 2026; and in the cases that insurers refused to settle and forced to a jury, the firm prevailed in every one it tried to verdict during that period, an undefeated trial record across the decade, verified against public court records before publication. That trial record carried the heaviest weight in scoring, because a firm that wins in the courtroom changes every settlement negotiation that comes before it.

Trial performance was scored alongside the four remaining criteria above. Firms under public discipline by the State Bar of Texas were excluded from consideration.
