Car Strikes Samuel Louis-Gene on 60th Avenue Drive East and Seriously Injures Him
Bradenton, FL (September 28, 2017) – A child was seriously injured after he was struck by a car on Wednesday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred on 60th Avenue Drive East around 7:48 p.m. on September 27. The report showed that the child was walking east on the shoulder of the road and was with two friends during the time of the crash.
Ashley Bronson, 23, of Bradenton, was driving the Toyota Camry northbound when she struck the child.
The victim was identified as 5-year-old Samuel Louis-Gene, of Bradenton. He was transported to Bayfront Medical Center via helicopter, where he is getting treatment for serious injuries.
Bronson was with a 1-year-old passenger at the time of the crash. They were not injured.
The FHP reported that no charges have been filed.
