Gregory Newman Dies after Small Plane Crash near Carrabelle-Thompson Airport
Carrabelle, Florida (February 6, 2018) – 68-year-old Gregory Newman, who was airlifted to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a small plane crash that took place Monday morning in Carrabelle, has died, a local news source reported.
The crash occurred at an unspecified time, Monday, February 5 in a wooded area near the Carrabelle-Thompson Airport in the Florida Panhandle.
According to the article, Carrabelle Police Department said that Newman, who was found unconscious at the crash scene, was airlifted in critical condition to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital by responding emergency crews.
He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The cause of the crash remains unknown as at now.
