Alachua County, FL – The mortal car collision took place on Southbound Interstate 75 in Alachua County that left four dead and one man critically injured.
The names and places of residence of those involved were not released by the Florida Highway Patrol as their families had not yet been notified.
The Florida Highway reports that that crash took place after the 37-year old man driver of a 2016 Chrysler went off the road and onto the right shoulder of Interstate 75. A semi that was parked on the shoulder was struck from behind.
The driver 37-year old man along with three other passengers a 35-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl and a female whose age was not given were killed. One man suffered severe injuries and was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital. His age was not mentioned.
The semi truck driver did not sustain any injuries.
A driver of a third vehicle was not injured as he hit debris on the roadway.
