Mitchell Cornwell Killed and Another Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer Crash in Alachua County
Alachua County, Florida (January 27, 2018) – One person was killed, and another sustained injuries Thursday night after two trucks crashed in Alachua County, according to a local news source.
The victims have been identified as 32-year-old Mitchell Cornwell, who died in the crash, and a 51-year-old Williston Man, who sustained minor injuries.
The collision occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, January 25 on County Road 235.
As per the article, a Dodge pickup truck was traveling north on the road when for unknown reasons, it crossed the center line and crashed into a tractor-trailer that was heading south.
Cornwell, who was driving the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Williston man, who was driving the truck, was transported to North Florida Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
