Mark Ynes Killed in Truck Crash with Motorized Wheelchair on 1st Ave in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg, Florida (February 3, 2018) – The St. Petersburg Police Department has identified the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding a motorized wheelchair on Friday afternoon.
Mark Ynes, 61, died in the accident that took place at around 3:00 p.m. on First Avenue North and 55th Street North.
Ynes was struck by a 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Patrick Watrous, police said.
Details on how the crash occurred were not immediately released.
Ynes was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Watrous remained at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
The incident is still under investigation.
