Married Couple pronounced dead after being hit by a dump truck.
On Wednesday of January 17th, a couple was identified by police in a three-vehicle crash. They were found dead on 1-80 route in Mount Olive where dump truck had blown a tire, swerved across and hit the couple.
The husband, John Rodriguez, was 52 years of age; his wife, Dawn Rodriquez, was 49 years of age. They were struck by the dump truck when they were driving westbound near Exit 25 approximately around 4:20 P.M, according to Sgt. Jeff Flynn, of the New Jersey State Police.
The married couple was pronounced dead at the scene.
Before overturning on the westbound side of the highway the couple was struck on, the dump truck also hit a box truck.
The information of injuries to the other driver is currently not available.
Flynn stated that there are no charges have been filed and the crash is currently under investigation.
