A 17-year-old from Trinity has died after being struck at an intersection of State Road 54 and Duck Slough Boulevard in New Port Richey.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Lilia Grace Morris was traveling north in her 2009 Honda on Duck Slough coming onto State Road 54 with a green light at the intersection, until a driver of a Chevrolet SUV that was traveling east on State Road 54 approaching a red light, neglected to stop and struck the left side of Morris’ vehicle.
The force of the impact pushed Morris’ vehicle beyond the median of State Road 54 where it was then struck by a 2009 Nissan driven by 20-year-old Olivier Francois. Following that, the Honda was struck one last time by a 2016 Nissan by 57-year-old Jay Arnold Adams.
Morris’ vehicle finally came to a rest at the center median of State Road 54 in the inside left turning lane.
Morris was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
All occupants of the Chevrolet SUV suffered minor to major injuries. 54-year-old Roy Wiley Rimmer suffered serious injuries and was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. 27-year-old Brandon Casey Windom and 34-year-old Jason Richard Tout suffered minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.
Florida State Troopers are still investigating the scene and are working towards determining who the driver of the Chevrolet SUV was at the time of the accident.
