A 52-year-old man from New York has tragically died on the night of Sunday, February 25, 2018, after an RV crash on Interstate 75.
Keith Hertik, fell through a hole in a recreational vehicle on Interstate 75, according to authorities.
The RV driver lost control on Interstate 75, heading north of Tampa when the driver lost control of the RV, hit the guardrail, and ripped a hole through the cabin which is directly behind the driver. Hertik had been behind the driver’s seat which caused him to fall through the hole.
Hertik was rushed to Ocala Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Florida Highway Patrol says that alcohol was not a factor and there have been no charges filed against the RV driver.
