Kathleen Raspolich and Joseph Volpatti Injured Trinity Two-Vehicle Crash on Seven Springs Boulevard
Trinity, Florida (January 30, 2018) – The Florida Highway Patrol troopers are conducting an investigation into a vehicle collision that sent two people to a hospital on Monday night in Trinity.
The wrong-way accident took place at around 9:12 p.m. Monday, January 28, on Seven Springs Boulevard.
Troopers said Kathleen Raspolich, 73, of New Port Richey was driving a 2006 Chevy Avalanche at a high rate of speed southbound in the inside lane of northbound Seven Springs Boulevard.
The Avalanche collided with a northbound 2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertible that was being driven by Joseph Volpatti, 51, also of New Port Richey. The force of the crash caused Volpatti’s vehicle to overturn.
Raspolich was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries.
Volpatti was transported to Bayonet Point in critical condition.
Raspolich is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Charges are pending the investigation.
