Johnny Cannon Killed in Fatal Jacksonville Multi-Vehicle Collision on Normandy Blvd
Jacksonville, Florida (November 15, 2017) – A 38-year-old male driver lost his life when he was involved in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Jacksonville, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The man has been identified as Johnny Christopher Cannon, of Jacksonville.
The fatal incident took place at approximately 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 14 on Normandy Boulevard at Normandy Acres Drive.
The FHP stated that Cannon was driving a 2001 Lexus ES 350 when for unexplained reasons, he crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2015 Ford Transit van driven by 46-year-old Monica Crawford, of Jacksonville. The Lexus then struck a 2008 Chevy Silverado truck driven by 44-year-old Charles Wright, of Macclenny.
Paramedics rushed Cannon to Orange Park Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Crawford and Wright sustained minor wounds in the incident.
The Highway Patrol stated that charges are pending.
