Gary Orsley Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Gulf Boulevard at 104th Avenue
Treasure Island, Florida (November 14, 2017) – A 50-year-old male rider perished after being involved in a motorcycle crash Monday morning in Treasure Island, according to a local news source.
The man was identified as Gary Orsley from Largo.
The fatal incident took place at about 8:46 a.m. Monday, November 13 at the intersection of Gulf Boulevard and 104th Avenue.
As per the article, Jim Uppendahl, 67, of North Port, was driving a 2005 Honda Civic southbound in the median lane of Gulf Boulevard when he was stopped for another car at the intersection with 104th. At the same time, Orsley, who was also traveling in the same direction, suddenly ran his motorcycle into the rear of the Civic. He was ejected from his motorcycle due to the impact of the crash.
Paramedics from the Treasure Island Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced Orsley dead.
Meanwhile, Uppendahl was not injured in the incident.
Authorities stated that Orsley was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
