Jacksonville Crash at New Kings Road and Moncrief Leaves Two Dead
Jacksonville, Florida (January 16, 2018) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Jacksonville Saturday Morning, police said.
The crash took place around 11:03 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at the 7800 block of New Kings Road and Moncrief Road.
According to police, 51-year-old Elaine B. Prestigiacomo was driving southbound in the 7800 block of New Kings Road. A second vehicle ran a red light while Prestigiacomo was going through the green light and the two vehicles collided.
Prestigiacomo and her front seat passenger, Zelda T. Eckstein, 75 were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
The wreck remains under investigation.
