Early Morning Head-On Collision on U.S. 41 Kills 28-Year-Old Man
Manatee County, FL (September 8, 2017) – A man was killed in a head-on collision early Friday morning on U.S. 41.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place around 2:50 a.m. September 8, near Braden Avenue.
The report showed that 28-year-old Eddie Perez-Perez, of Manatee County, drove his 2014 Infiniti Coupe northbound on U.S. 41. When he crossed into the southbound lanes, he struck a 1990 Chevrolet Tahoe head-on.
The collision killed Perez-Perez at the scene.
The driver of the Tahoe was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. He remains unnamed.
The FHP believes a charge could be given after investigations are completed.
