COWETA COUNTY, GA (CBS46)- Man Dies in an accident involving a Transportation truck (Georgia Dept.) and a Train.
The accident took place on Ball Street next to Railroad Street located in Moreland, Georgia.
A GDOT Dump Truck traveled east on Johnson Place in Moreland said the Department of Public Safety. The Truck tried to cross the train tracks at the intersection of Johnson. Something seemed to go wrong when he couldn’t pass the train tracks at the intersection and was T boned by the train.
The train dragged the truck for hundreds of yards. The 60-year-old Carey Ellerbee (driver of the truck) died in the accident.
The intersection contained no crossing arm what-so-ever. Just a rusted yield sign.
