McAlpin, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a crash taking place Saturday evening on U.S. 129 in Suwannee County leaves an Oak Man dead after he lost control of his truck, causing him to flip prior to hitting a tree and fence.
The victim, 57-year old David Dean Manning, was traveling northbound on U.S. 129 near the 99th Lane intersection in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 when Manning was attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve on the east shoulder.
The Silverado crossed over both lanes on U.S. 129 as the vehicle spun counter-clockwise after trying to over correct, believed investigators.
Manning’s vehicle overturned and struck a barbed wire fence and tree off the west side of the road.
Manning died at the site of the crash.
