Damon Rios Injured in Orange County Pedestrian Accident on South Orange Avenue
Orange County, Florida (February 12, 2018) – A 43-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a CSX train on Monday morning in Orange County, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of South Orange Avenue and 4th Street in Orlando.
Deputies said the victim, identified as Damon Rios of Orlando, was attempting to cross the tracks when the armbar was down and was clipped by the passing train.
Rios was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
No one on the train was injured.
The intersection was closed as investigators examined the scene.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
