Osceola County, FL – A hit-and-run collision that left a motorcyclist dead has caught the person who left the scene of the crash, and 21-year old woman.
According to Troopers, the 21-year old woman, Stephanie Cruz Rodriguez, is currently being charged with leaving the scene after she returned at the urging of a witness to the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that Rodriguez made a left turn on Watts Drive right into the path of 25-year old Christopher Morgan after she was traveling south on Buena Ventura Boulevard.
Morgan was riding a Yamaha and was found wearing a helmet. He struck Rodriguez’s vehicle.
Witnesses to the crash told investigators that Rodriguez got out of the vehicle, approached Morgan, and then went back into the vehicle and drove off.
One of the witnesses followed Rodriguez telling her to back to the site of the crash.
Morgan died at the site of the crash.
