Vehicle Strikes and Kills Christopher Jones on East Turner Camp Road in Citrus County
Citrus County, Florida (January 24, 2018) – A vehicle struck and killed a 26-year-old Inverness man on Tuesday in Citrus County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at the intersection of East Turner Camp Road and Bloomfield Drive in Inverness on Tuesday, January 23.
Troopers said Christopher Jones, 26, of Inverness was wearing dark clothing when he was struck by a 1993 Dodge van that was being driven by 42-year-old Gerald Grace also of Inverness.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, FHP said.
Grace was uninjured in the crash.
There were no reports of any charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
