Motorcyclist Charles Boston Killed in Crash with Hit-and-Run Driver on U.S. 1 in Jacksonville
Jacksonville, Florida (December 19, 2017) – A motorcyclist was killed late Friday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on U.S. 1, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 11 p.m. on Friday, December 15, on U.S. 1, south of Bowden Road.
FHP said Charles Boston, 35, of Jacksonville, was driving his motorcycle in the left lane of U.S. 1 when he collided with a vehicle, then the motorcycle laid down and slid into the center median.
The driver of the other vehicle failed to stop after the crash.
Boston was rushed to Memorial Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced deceased on Sunday, December 16.
The crash is under investigation
