Carlton Cochran ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Walton County Collision on Highway 20
Freeport, Florida (February 9, 2018) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck on Thursday in Freeport, Walton County as 60-year-old Carlton Sheppard Cochran, Jr.
The fatal incident took place on Thursday, February 8, Highway 20 near Burnham Road in Freeport.
According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, Cochran was walking on the northern paved shoulder along westbound Highway 20 near Burnham Road when he was struck by a vehicle driven west on the highway.
The troopers said Cochran died at the accident scene.
An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
