The crash kills 4 people and injured several others in a multiple-vehicle crash in Islamorada on Monday, March 5, in the early afternoon.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kathleen McKinney, the multiple-vehicle crash that happened near mile marker 80 on the Tea Table Bridge killed 4 people who were in a compact car.
The driver of a 2018 Nissan Rogue was traveling north on the highway and tried to turn left when a truck strikes the vehicle from behind causing the Rogue to be pushed into the southbound lane. An RV home that was also traveling south also hits the right side of the Rogue when it eventually hit a tree that was on the side of the road.
Lt. McKinney says that one passenger was identified as 30-year-old Carlos Manso Blanco and the other two passengers and driver were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol officials are still investigating the crash.
