Fort Myers Residents Anthony Neff and Susan Danza Killed in DeSoto Crash on SR 31
DeSoto, Florida (February 18, 2018) – The Florida Highway Patrol has released the names of two people killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in DeSoto.
The crash involving six vehicles took place at around 9:04 a.m. Saturday, February 17, on State Road 31 near Southeast Nichols Street.
FHP said Anthony Neff, 58, and Susan Danza, 59, both of Fort Myers, were riding in a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound on State Road 31 when they crossed the center line while negotiating a curve and collided with a Chevy Silverado 3500.
The accident caused a chain-reaction involving another motorcycle, a Pepsi tractor-trailer, a Chevrolet Dually pickup truck and a Toyota pickup truck pulling a trailer.
Neff and Danza were killed in the crash.
An occupant of the second motorcycle, Kimberly Henson, 53, was hospitalized at Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
