Kissimmee Man Alexis Acevado Killed in Truck-SUV Collision on Neptune Road
Kissimmee, Florida (December 11, 2017) – A 33-year-old man was killed on Monday morning in a collision between a pickup truck and an SUV on Neptune Road in Kissimmee.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Neptune Road and Stroupe Road.
Troopers said Alexis Acevado, 33, of Kissimmee, was sitting in a 2013 Ford SUV at the intersection when he attempted to turn onto eastbound Neptune Road from southbound Stroupe Road and entered into the path of a 2005 Ford pickup truck, driven by 24-year-old Anthony Taromino of St. Cloud.
The pickup truck struck the left side of Acevado’s SUV.
Acevado sustained major injuries and was rushed to Osceola Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Taromino sustained minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
