Tampa, FL – A crash taking place Wednesday afternoon on the Howard Frankland Bridge left a 69-year old Jacksonville man dead, stated the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the FHP, the driver of the 2008 Kia Spectra has not been identified. The accident occurred at about 4:05 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle while he was near State Road 60 heading southbound on Interstate 275.
The vehicle swerved on the inside shoulder and struck the median wall as it was in the center lane. It caught on fire after overturning many times.
There was a partial roadblock but was later cleared.
The 69-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
