Two Injured in Miami-Dade Rear-End Crash with Police Cruiser at Northeast 135th street and Biscayne Boulevard
Miami-Dade, Florida (November 29, 2017) – A car crashed into a cruiser belonging to the Miami-Dade Police Department injuring two people on Northeast 135th Street early Wednesday morning.
According to FHP reports, the rear-end crash happened at the intersection of Northeast 135th street and Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami.
A Dodge Charger crashed into the back of a police cruiser that was stopped at a red light at the intersection.
The impact of the crash caused the Dodge to catch fire. The woman driving the Dodge was stuck in the wrecked vehicle and was pulled out by rescue crews.
The woman and the police sergeant involved were taken to Aventura Hospital. Troopers said the injuries of the woman seemed to be severe.
The police are conducting an investigation to find out what caused the accident.
