1-Year-Old Boy Injured in Jacksonville Crash at Arlington and Lillian Roads
Jacksonville, Florida (February 13, 2018) – A one-year-old male child sustained life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle after falling out of his mother’s SUV Monday afternoon in Arlington, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The accident happened at around 3:40 p.m. Monday, February 12, at Arlington and Lillian roads in Jacksonville.
The sheriff’s office stated that a 25-year-old woman was operating a gray Chevrolet Tahoe with four children inside north on Arlington Road and made a right turn onto Lillian Road when the left rear door opened.
A 1-year-old boy then fell out of the Tahoe and was run over by a white Chevrolet Silverado that was driving behind the Tahoe.
The kid suffered head and internal injuries and was transported to Wolfson Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The boy was among the four children who were traveling in the SUV without a car seat on, but the mother claimed the baby was wearing a car seat.
