Two Trucks Involved in Fort Lauderdale Crash on I-94 Injuring Two
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (January 4, 2018) – A Tuesday afternoon collision involving two trucks on I-94 in Fort Lauderdale left the drivers nursing injuries.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place on southbound Interstate 95 near Cypress Creek Road on Tuesday, January 2.
Troopers said a Road Ranger, Zucchero Cole, 23, of Lauderhill, was sitting in A Road Rangers Service Patrol tow truck parked at the side of I-95 when a Chrysler 300, driven by Robert Ortiz, 37, of West Palm Beach, swerved off the roadway and crashed into Cole’s truck.
Cole suffered serious injuries and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center.
Ortiz sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Broward Health.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
