Man Killed in Fatal Zephyrhills Skydiving Accident at Airport
Zephyrhills, Florida (November 14, 2017) – A 36-year-old skydiver lost his life after his parachute failed to open Monday evening in Zephyrhills, the Zephyrhills Police Department reported.
The fatal accident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 13 at Zephyrhills Municipal Airport.
As per the article, police officers stated that the parachutist jumped with Skydive City parachuting center located at the airport. It has not yet been determined why his parachute failed to open.
Authorities stated that the victim was an experienced parachutist with more than 250 jumps.
Skydive City company plans to issue a statement, and the Federal Aviation Administration in conjunction with Zephyrhills Police are investigating the incident.
