Head-On Collision on State Road 386 Kills 2 Men
Gulf County, Fl (September 9, 2017) – A head-on crash that occurred early Saturday morning has killed two drivers on State Road 386.
A Florida Highway Patrol official reported that the collision happened around 3:00 a.m. September 9 in Gulf County.
32-year-old Zachery Lance Porter, of Clarksville, drove his 2007 Ford Mustang northbound on State Road 386 when he drove into the southbound lane of the road. This led him to be involved in a head-on crash with a southbound 2014 Nissan Frontier driven by 26-year-old Travis Shelby Huffine, of Wewahitchka.
Porter was declared dead at the scene.
Huffine was transported to Bay Medical Center, where he later died of injuries sustained in the crash.
At the time of reporting, it is unknown if the crash involved any alcohol.
