Three Pedestrians Injured in Miami-Beach Hit-and-Run Crash On Dickens Avenue
Miami Beach, Florida (January 22, 2018) – Three pedestrians were struck and injured by a 13-year-old driver who was later arrested after fleeing the scene on Sunday evening in Miami Beach.
The crash took place at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, on Dickens Avenue at 77th Street.
Police said Jamie Pinol, a 13-year-old Nautilus Middle School student, was driving his stepfather’s Cadillac when he knocked down Yolanda Fajardo, 51, Carol Gutierrez, 21, and a child, as the trio was attempting to cross the road.
Pinol is said to have reversed onto 77th Street and drove westbound after the incident.
Fajardo was left with a fractured hip and a lacerated head, Gutierrez suffered a bruised butt and the child was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Pinol was arrested is facing charges of fleeing the scene of an injury crash.
