Willie Head III Identified as Driver Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Moncrief Road in Jacksonville
Jacksonville, Florida (February 7, 2018) – The man killed in a head-on collision that left two women hospitalized on Tuesday morning in Jacksonville has been identified by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The two-vehicle wreck occurred at around 10:15 a.m. on Moncrief Road near Golfair Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a Chrysler Sebring, driven by Willie Head III, 45, was traveling eastbound on Moncrief Road when he swerved into the westbound side and collided with a Dodge Magnum.
Head was rushed to UF Health Jacksonville, where he was pronounced dead.
The other driver, a 35-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 19-year-old woman, were treated for minor injuries at UF Health.
The crash caused a closure of Moncrief Road for approximately three hours as investigators examined and cleared the scene.
