Branford Resident Wanda Allman Seriously Injured in Two-Car Crash on US-27

Suwannee, Florida (December 28, 2017) – One person was hospitalized on Christmas Eve after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Suwannee County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and County Road 49 around 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 24.
Troopers said Wanda Allman, 58, of Branford was driving a Lincoln MKS southbound on CR 49, failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and crashed into the right front side of a Toyota Prius traveling eastbound on U.S. 27.
The impact pushed Allman’s vehicle off the roadway and into the Woodline.
Allman, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Shands UF Hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing and charges may be filed.
