Woman and Child Injured in Miami Beach Hit-and-Run Crash on 77th Street
Miami Beach, Florida (January 21, 2018) – A woman and a child were transported to a hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday afternoon in Miami Beach, according to authorities.
The accident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on 77th Street near Dickens Avenue.
A Miami Beach Police Department report indicates that a woman and a child were crossing the street when they were struck by a car.
The driver of the car fled the scene after the incident.
The two victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the suspected driver a few blocks away from the scene.
Details on the identity of the pedestrians and the hit-and-run suspect were not released.
