Two Airlifted after Homosassa Two-Vehicle Crash
Homosassa, Florida (January 12, 2018) – Two people were airlifted after two-vehicle crash in Homosassa Thursday afternoon, police said.
The crash happened at about 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, between Ace Hardware and McDonald’s.
According to a witness who is a nurse, a motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet pickup injuring the two motorcyclists who were not wearing helmets. The witness, however, did not see the crash happen, but she was passing shortly and went to help the victims.
One motorist suffered severed legs and the second one who was unresponsive sustained multiple open fractures in her limbs.
The two motorists were airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The truck’s driver was uninjured.
No further information about the crash was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
