29-Year-Old Old Woman Killed in Panama City Crash on 15th Street
Panama City, Florida (November 15) – A 24-year-old woman was killed in an early Tuesday morning crash in Panama City.
The woman, identified as Tia Williams, 29, was killed in the two-vehicle crash shortly after 3 a.m. at 15th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Tuesday, November 14.
According to the Panama City Police, Alexandru Trufus, 24, was spotted by an officer driving his black Lexus sedan at a high rate of speed eastbound on 15th Street.
Before the officer pulled over the sedan for overspending, the officer witnessed the vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by Williams at the intersection with MLK Boulevard.
Williams was killed in the crash.
Trufus was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say speed was a factor in the crash and Trufus is expected to face charges.
