Two Children and 1 Adult Injured in Calhoun County Crash
Calhoun County, Florida (January 16, 2018) – Three people including two children were injured in a head-on crash in Calhoun County Monday noon, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. Monday, January 15, at 11th Street and State Route 20.
According to FHP, 45-year-old Blountstown man, William Baggett, was driving southbound on 11th Street approaching the intersection with State Road 20. He ran a stop sign and collided head-on with another car.
Three occupants of the second vehicle, two girls aged 16 and 10 and a 37-year-old woman were injured and taken to the Calhoun-Liberty Hospital.
Baggett and two occupants of his car, a 4-year-old boy, and a 38-year-old woman were not injured in the crash.
Baggett was charged with failure to observe stop a sign, lack of proof of insurance, and driving a car in unsafe condition.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
