Sandford, FL – A plane crash that occurred at the Sanford International Airport on Saturday afternoon at 12:52 p.m. leaves the pilot dead.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Seminole County Officials.
The plane was a Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser that crashed on the grass on the north side of Runway 9R shortly after taking off, according to airport officials.
The pilot, 55-year old Thomas Camman, was killed upon impact.
