Taylor Johnson Killed in Car-Pedestrian Crash on Blanding Boulevard in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, Florida (January 28, 2018) – A 19-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Jacksonville, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue on Saturday, January 27.
Taylor Johnson, 19, was attempting to cross Blanding Avenue with her sister and a friend when she was hit by a small passenger car. Her sister and the friend were not struck by the vehicle.
FHP said the women were not using designated crosswalk.
Johnson was killed in the crash.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the police.
The crash is under investigation.
