Stephen Nagy Seriously Injured in Leon Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 10
Leon County, Florida (November 14, 2017) – A 42-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after being rear-ended by a hit-and-run motorist Monday morning in Leon County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The FHP identified the rider as Stephen Nagy from Monticello.
The major injury accident unfolded at approximately 6:27 a.m. Monday, November 13 on Interstate 10 near mile marker 209.
Police officers stated that Bruce James II, 27, was driving west on I-10 when he rear-ended Nagy’s motorcycle, causing it to slide 400 feet away before it came to rest in the middle of the roadway.
James drove away without giving aid to the victim and was later arrested by a Tallahassee Police officer after his car broke down about a mile away from the accident scene.
Naggy suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, James was charged with following another vehicle too closely and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.
