St. Petersburg Man Killed in Osceola Skateboard Crash on US 192
Osceola, Florida (November 20, 2017) – A 24-year-old male skateboarder was hit and killed by a car on US 192 Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The St. Petersburg man was struck at around 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 19 on Highway 192 near Pine Grove Road.
Troopers said the skateboarder entered into the path of a car in the eastbound lanes of the highway and was struck by the car.
The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and overturned after striking and killing the skateboarder, troopers said.
The name of the victim was not immediately available.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
The US 192 eastbound lanes were closed as police conducted investigations into the incident.
