Moccasin Wallow Road Car Crash Kills Manatee County Deputy
Palmetto, FL (September 28, 2017) – A man, identified as a Manatee County deputy, was killed in a head-on collision Thursday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the incident to have occurred around 7 a.m. on September 28 at the intersection of Moccasin Wallow Road and Bud Rhoden Road.
The report showed that Corrections Deputy Shaun Feverston, 28, of Manatee County, was driving his Jeep Wrangler on Bud Rhoden Road when it was struck by a pickup truck that made a left turn from Moccasin Wallow Road.
The impact caused the Jeep to overturn and killed Feverston. He was not wearing a seat belt during the incident and was on his way home from work.
George Grigsby, of Palmetto, the driver of the pickup truck, was cited for making an improper left turn.
