53-Year-Old Brownsville Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Centralia Road
Brownsville, Florida (December 5, 2017) – A 53-year-old woman was killed on Sunday night in a grisly two-vehicle crash involving a DUI driver in Brownsville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, on Centralia Road, just west of Sunshine Grove Road.
Troopers said Sandra Sevilla was driving a 2009 Honda Fit eastbound on Centralia Road when she made a stop at the intersection and turned. A 2012 Chevrolet Camaro driven at a high rate of speed by Rodger J. Carr, 51, of Brownsville, was traveling behind Sevilla and crashed into the Honda.
Sevilla suffered major injuries and was transported to Oak Hill Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A passenger in Sevilla’s vehicle was not injured.
Carr suffered minor injuries and was charged with DUI manslaughter.
