Salmane Benjelloun Killed in Deadly Tampa Motorcycle Crash on Busch Boulevard
Tampa, Florida (December 8, 2017) – A motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a traffic collision Thursday evening in Tampa, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The FHP identified the motorcycle rider as 26-year-old Salmane Benjelloun.
Police officers said that Benjelloun was riding his motorcycle westbound on Busch Boulevard in the far left lane. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Remi Nicole Calderoni was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion eastbound before she was stopped in the northbound turn lane. A small portion of her car was in the westbound lane. Benjelloun lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the lower front of the Ford and was ejected. He was trapped beneath the vehicle.
Benjelloun suffered fatal injuries in the incident. He was pronounced dead in the accident.
An investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
