Jacksonville Man Ronnie Lewis Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles on MLK Parkway
Jacksonville, Florida (December 22, 2017) – A Jacksonville man died from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident early Sunday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, police said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, December 17 on MLK Jr. Parkway, near Interstate 95 in Jacksonville’s Springfield area.
The victim, Ronnie Lewis, 25, of Jacksonville, was walking in the eastbound lanes of MLK Parkway when he was sideswiped by a Cadillac Escalade and the hit by a Jeep Patriot, troopers said.
Lewis was rushed to UF Health Jacksonville where he was pronounced deceased.
FHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.
