Robert Moulton Dies in Bicycle Accident on County Road 561A in Lake County
Lake County, Florida (February 15, 2018) – A 64-year-old bicyclist died in a collision with a dump truck on Wednesday afternoon in Lake County, as per the Florida Highway Patrol.
The victim has been identified as Robert Moulton, of Groveland.
FHP said that the deadly collision unfolded at around 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, February 14 on County Road 561A near Florida’s Turnpike.
According to the report, for unknown reasons, Moulton turned into the westbound lane and collided with the left side of the dump truck.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.
The victim was traveling eastbound on CR 561A in the opposite direction of the dump truck.
FHP began an investigation into the accident.
