Reginald Rogers Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision at State Road 60 and County Line Road in Mulberry
Mulberry, Florida (January 30, 2018) – A 39-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash that took place Saturday night in Mulberry, according to a local news source.
The man has been identified as Reginald Rogers, of Bartow.
The crash was reported at around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, January 27 on State Road 60 at County Line Road.
As per the article, Rogers entered into the eastbound lane of State Road 60 from a convenience store on the south side of the roadway. At the same time, Eloy Pedro, of Mulberry was heading east on the same road, and also in the outside lane.
Reportedly, Rogers pulled out of the convenience store at about 75 feet east of the traffic signal. He violated the right-of-way for Pedro.
Roger’s 1998 four-door Mercedes-Benz was struck in the rear by Pedro’s 2006 Toyota Rav.
The force of the crash sent the Benz about 50 feet east and stopped northeast in the inside lane. The Toyota went southwest and came to a stop in a shallow ditch on the south side of State Road 60.
Rogers was pronounced dead in the accident.
Meanwhile, Pedro was arrested for driving without a valid Florida driving license. He was booked into Polk County Jail.
