A 68-year-old man from Ormond Beach was killed in a crash in the early hours of Monday morning north of Flagler County in Interstate 95.
The man identified as Raymond Almodovar was driving in his Toyota Corolla at around 5:45 A.M. Monday morning. The Corolla hit a guardrail on the State Road 415 overpass when it spun and reentered the lanes where a Kia Forte sideswiped the Corolla. A Jeep Wrangler reportedly then hit the Corolla.
Florida Highway Patrol stated that the driver of the Wrangler got out of their vehicle and got back in and left the scene of the crash.
Troopers are now looking for a 2007-2017 Wrangler with a missing bumper and damages to the front end of the vehicle.
The driver of the Kia assisted in the crash while Almodovar was killed because of the crash.
Chargers are pending depending on the investigation.
