HIALEAH, FL– The death of a Missouri women named Ranika Hall died after undergoing a Brazilian butt lift procedure in South Florida is currently under investigation
The procedure was done Thursday night at Eres Plastic Surgery in Hialeah, FL. It was reported that the victim Ranika Hall, 25, lost consciousness during the surgery and was not responding, said Hialeah Police.
The call of the incident came in just a little bit before 9 P.M. where the fire rescue responded to the surgery center, said officials.
Ranika Hall died two hours after she was rushed to the Community Hospital.
“Dr. Daniel Calva and Eres Plastic Surgery are deeply saddened by what has occurred and offer their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dr. Calva is a highly skilled and caring surgeon that is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients. The cause of death has not yet been determined until a medical forensic examiner has completed an examination”, was the statement released by the law firm who is currently representing the surgeon Dr. Daniel Calva and the clinic on Friday night.
This was not the first incident where someone lost their lives after undergoing plastic surgery in South Florida. Heather Meadows, 29, underwent the same procedure last year in the same clinic named “Encore Plastic Surgery” at the time, where she too lost her life. It was found that there was no criminal wrongdoing in the butt lift procedure.
The Florida Department of Health and the Miami-Dade State Attorney are currently being assisted by the Hialeah Police in the investigation of Ranika Hall’s death.
