A 63-year-old man from Sardis, Alabama dies in a crash that happened on Thursday morning in Jackson County on Highway 231.
According to Florida Highway Patrols, 63-year-old Ralph Edwards was headed north on Highway 231 close to the intersection of Douglas Road when he hit a car with his semi-truck.
The man hit was identified as 38-year-old James Adams from Sneads.
Edwards’s truck left the road and struck a wire fence and trees before coming to a halt. Troopers reported that Adam’s car was struck and rotated off of the road and also hit a tree.
Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.
Adams, on the other hand, suffered from minor injuries and was arrested after violating his probation.
Troopers are still investigating the crash.
